Christmas potluck and Ride and Drive

Come and join us for a great day of fun on December 13th. We will be meeting at The Old Fort Lewis around 11 am so bring your equine friends with wagons/sleighs or even saddles for a fun day with friends. Don't forget we will be bringing a toy and canned goods for families in the area in need. This is a great opportunity to make a difference this Holiday season. This will also be a potluck lunch so don't forget to bring a tasty side dish. Hope to see you all there!!!!!!!!!Happy Holidays

November 19th 2009
What started out as as a very cold morning proved to be a fun day with about 90 2nd grade students from Bayfield Elementry school. Scot and I met up with Bob and Sandy Cooper and Chuck Bailey along with their wonderful teams of mules and horses.

From the school we took groups of kids to the Bayfield History Museum where Jim Frahm and John White took the kids on a tour and told them about Bayfields history. We were also joined by Lorraine Taylor who was there with her spinning wheel showing the kids how to spin yarn. The kids and adults had a great time. There is no better way to teach history than to bring it to the kids and show them how things were done and are still being done by a select few to this day. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Welcome to the Four Corners Draft Horse, Mule, and Carriage Assn

Welcome to the Four Corners Draft Horse, Mule and Carriage Assn.

We are a large group of people of all ages that share a love for driving equines of all sizes from mini to large draft. Here are a few pictures from our last get together for the Navajo Mission in Farmington NM at Old Ft Lewis. The Terpsma family brought a group of kids from the mission for a day of wagon rides , good food and great friends. Thanks to all of the members who brought horses and helped out. We all had a great time and got to meet a group of wonderfull kids and the wonderfull people who take care of them.
