2010 Potluck Christmas party

Join us for our annual Potluck Christmas Party on Sunday December 12th from 1:00 to 4:00 at F&M Construction. The address is 479 Wolverine Drive in Bayfield. We will have a money tree benefitting the The Navajo Ministries, any amount is welcome.

Don't forget to bring your horses/mules and wagons. They want to have fun too.

As you already know the FCDHMCA has the best cooks of any club around, and you're not going to want to miss this! Dress warmly, pray for snow, and come prepared for fun!

September Meeting

We will be having our September meeting on the 12th at the Old Fort Lewis Library at 1pm. We should have more information on our future at Old Fort Lewis at this time. We will also be discussing upcoming events.

Cascade Lodge October 8th -11th

Join us for a great time, with great food, great company and for great fun with your hooved friends!You can also join us without horses, just come along for a good time.

Cascade is a beautiful lodge north of Durango with lots of gravel roads for riding and driving. This is a great time of year to see the fall colors. The cost is $25 a day per person which includes room and board. As with anything involving the club, the food is always great. If you have special dietary needs contact Sandy Cooper @ 426-4161. Heritage Days Bayfield, Sept 24th-26th

Come join us for the Heritage Days Parade and play day on Sept 25th.Once again The Bar D Wranglers will be starting off Heritage Days Friday night with a chili dinner. The parade will start at 10am Sat the 25th then will be followed by our play day at Joe Stephenson Park at the arena. Come and join the fun!

Four States Ag Expo

Thanks to all of the members who came to help out at the Expo and to all of our sponsors. We couldn't have done it without you. We had 4 teams show up to work the shuttles and a great turn out for the parade on Saturday!

Sleigh Day

Here are some pictures from our latest sleigh day which was held once again at Bob and Sandy Coopers who have been so generous to let us all come and play. Even though the warm weather made the trails tough to get through we all had a great time. We had 3 big teams and Dandy driving single and of course great food and friends as always!!

Four States Ag Expo/ March Meeting

Come join us at The Four States Ag Expo on March 18th -21st at the Cortez fairgrounds. We will need volunteers to help out with the booth. We will cover all of this at our next meeting on March 14th at Old Fort Lewis. You can either volunteer then or contact Bob at 749-5133 to sign up. We have alot going on this year at the Expo from clinics to the draft horse and equipment parades. This will be a great event to get our horses/ mules out there for everyone to see and promote our club! We will also have our new team Bob and Levi there for everyone to meet! Hope to see all of you there!

Happy New Year

Welcome to a new year with FCDHMCA. Here are a few pictures from our last play day, thanks to Bob and Sandy Cooper who were so generous in letting all of us come out and play at their place. We had a great turn out and alot of fun! For those of you who were not at the last meeting all Board positions have remained the same. We also discussed our events for this next year starting with a Box Social at our next meeting on February 14th at Old Fort Lewis at 1:00. This will be a fund raiser for the club so the more people we have show up and join in, the more we can raise for the club. So all of you guys out there, pack a lunch for two and let the bidding begin!! We will also be a part of the Four States Ag Expo in Cortez coming up at the end of March. We will need volunteers so if interested in helping out let one of us know.We have a alot going on this year so this is the time volunteer and be a part of this club. We have a great club with wonderfull people and horses/mules. We would love to meet all of our members new and old so come and join the fun!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to all! For those of you who didn't make to our annual Christmas Party here are a few pictures of fun in the snow with sleighs. We had a great turn out concidering the weather and driving conditions were not the best. we also had a great turn out for Toys For Tots and alot of food for the local shelter as well as great food for the Party. Bob also presented Lorraine Taylor with a Lifetime Membership along with an embroidered Carhart jacket!

Hope to see you all at the next meeting on January 10th at 1:00 at Old Fort Lewis. We will be electing board members for 2010 so join us if you can. Hope to see you all there!
