Here are some pictures from our latest sleigh day which was held once again at Bob and Sandy Coopers who have been so generous to let us all come and play. What started out as as a very cold morning proved to be a fun day with about 90 2nd grade students from Bayfield Elementry school. Scot and I met up with Bob and Sandy Cooper and Chuck Bailey along with their wonderful teams of mules and horses.
From the school we took groups of kids to the Bayfield History Museum where Jim Frahm and John White took the kids on a tour and told them about Bayfields history. We were also joined by Lorraine Taylor who was there with her spinning wheel showing the kids how to spin yarn. The kids and adults had a great time. There is no better way to teach history than to bring it to the kids and show them how things were done and are still being done by a select few to this day. Can't wait to do it again next year!
